A lot of people ask me “What’s my religion?”
Race Unity Day took place in St. Cloud Minnesota, at a community center named Promise Neighborhood. There were about 40 to 50 individuals there from all sorts of background and walks of life, coming together to learn about learning and experiencing the beauty of diversity and difference, but at the same time living in one world together.

In this video, Jennifer and I went to the Baha’i House of Worship in Wilmette, Illinois for a weekend of consultation and discussing what each part of the Heartland region is learning about the process of growth in the neighbourhoods and cities.

Here I am with Bette a local Baha’i from Saint Cloud Minnesota. Bette is sharing what she feels is the significance of Baha’u’llah’s 200 year anniversary of His Birth, and some of His fundamental teachings.
Please share some comments down below, what you and your community is doing to prepare for the Bicentenary coming up soon!
Baha’is all over the world are about to celebrate one of the most auspicious days of their cherished Faith. October of 2017 signalizes the 200th year anniversary of the birth of the Founder of their precious Faith, Baha’u’llah. He announced, roughly 150 years ago, that the Divine-will for today is the oneness of humanity and unity of all religions, races and people. If the world’s religious leaders and kings, such as Pope Pius IX, Napoleon III and Naser al-Din Shah, had listened to Baha’u’llah’s counsels He gave in scores upon scores of letters, then bigotry, racism and utter hatred among people today would have ceased to exist.
In this video, I am giving a quick update for not uploading a video in like 2 weeks. I also talk about how the Baha’is in Iran and Yemen are being persecuted for their beliefs. This is wrong and needs to stop immediately. Next, I talk about Baha’u’llah’s 200-year anniversary of His birthday is approaching and how we need to find opportunities to talk to people about His sacred mission and His life. Why He came to this world in this day-in-age, what is He trying to accomplish for humanity? His long-suffering and life’s example are topics that we can all talk about and invite those receptive to His message to join us in our devotionals and gatherings to celebrate His birthday on October of 2017.

In this video I share the significance of Baha’i the Fast and obligatory prayer. Truly, fasting and the obligatory prayer help the progress of our souls. They also assist with its transcendence from the material things of this earthly temporary existence. There are many spiritual strengths and benefits one can derive from fasting and the obligatory prayer that most likely will be better appreciated once we move onto the next world, the spiritual world.

Importance of Obligatory Prayer and Fasting
Fasting, said ‘Abdu’l-Bahá “is the cause of awakening man. The heart becomes tender and the spirituality of man increases. This is produced by the fact that man’s thoughts will be confined to the commemoration of God, and through this awakening and stimulation surely ideal advancements follow”.1

Dr. Enderle is a Chemist and a Theologian. He teaches Chemistry at UC Davis, and he is interested in the idea that God and Science can actually “share the same space” if viewed differently, than the traditional view. His point of view is very close if not the same, as the perspective of the Baha’i teachings on the concept of Science and Religion.
The following is a quote from Abdu’l-Baha:
“Any religious belief which is not conformable with scientific proof and investigation is superstition, for true science is reason and reality, and religion is essentially reality and pure reason; therefore, the two must correspond. Religious teaching which is at variance with science and reason is human invention and imagination unworthy of acceptance, for the antithesis and opposite of knowledge is superstition born of the ignorance of man. If we say religion is opposed to science, we lack knowledge of either true science or true religion, for both are founded upon the premises and conclusions of reason, and both must bear its test.”

Last Sunday some people decided to disrespect the beautiful blue Mosque, the Islamic House of Worship here in Davis California which is right across the UC Davis campus on Russell Blvd. The individuals who vandalised the place shattered a few of its doors on the right side of the Mosque and the back doors which are made of glass. A lady was recorded on surveillance camera putting bacon on the glass door handles and they had also flattened a few if not all bikes that were locked in sight.
Due to this tragic situation, in less than a few days the Muslim community asked for the neighbouring faiths such as the Christian and Jewish communities to come together for a united effort to pray together and stop any forms of prejudice.
All kinds of people were there from all over the world and it was a very beautiful gathering, akin to the kind of community and world we will eventually have in the near future!

I had a thought about the way we live our lives here in the USA. I wanted to talk about the culture of consumerism and the attachment to material things. I thought this could open the way for further questioning and thinking about this topic so that we become aware to not get worse.
Check out my other videos on various topics having to do with important things I think we should be talking about and thinking about!
