almost Accompaniment | [Elevated & Meaningful]

This video is not representative of the totality of what accompaniment looks like, it’s just a few friends dedicated in their local neighbourhoods who have gathered to discuss what they have so far learned and how we can keep on learning and growing our communities. That’s why I didn’t allow a full discussion to be in this video, rather my video is to merely show that such conversations are taking place in this dark age of the world, that there are individuals who exist that are committed to building up a new “Divine Civilization” as envisioned by Baha’u’llah (The Blessed Beauty).

Baha’u’llah: Letter to Napoleon III & Queen Victoria | [Elevated & Meaningful]

I will talk about 2 of the Kings and Queen of His time, namely, Napoleon III and Queen Victoria.

You should note, that Baha’u’llah came to fulfil the prophecies of the past Religions such as the Return of Christ, and the Promised One, to lead humanity to all Truth.

So, it was imperative that Baha’u’llah wrote to kings and rulers of His time to inform them of the time they were living and the will of God for today.

Most of them took His message as heresy and lunatic.

i.e., Baha’u’llah said to Napoleon III that he needs to turn to the Will of God and Baha’u’llah said a lot of things about His station and His mission to bring about the Most Great Peace.

You know what Napoleon III responded to Baha’u’llah? He said, “If this man is God, I am two Gods.”

Shortly after in about 3 years or so, approximately, Napoleon’s kingdom fell

Beginning in 1867 in Adrianople and continuing later in ‘Akká, Bahá’u’lláh wrote to the kings and rulers of the world,

Read Baha’u’llah’s Summons of the Lord of Hosts where He writes to all of the Kings and Rulers of His time:

Baha’u’llah wrote back to Napoleon III
“For what thou hast done, thy kingdom shall be thrown into confusion, and thine empire shall pass from thine hands, as a punishment for that which thou hast wrought. 21 Then wilt thou know how thou hast plainly erred. Commotions shall seize all the people in that land, unless thou arisest to help this Cause.”

Here is the quotation used for the lyrics below followed by the quotation and chords:

“Never lose thy trust in God. Be thou ever hopeful, for the bounties of God never cease to flow upon man. If viewed from one perspective they seem to decrease, but from another they are full and complete. Man is under all conditions immersed in a sea of God’s blessings. Therefore, be thou not hopeless under any circumstances, but rather be firm in thy hope.”

MANSPLAINING | (UC Davis) | [Elevated & Meaningful]

In the current state of media and public discourse, we still see men putting women down however well-intentioned men may be. These attitude men are exuding toward women, is known as “Mansplaining”. This attitude manifests itself when men and women are, i.e. having a discussion and the man either interrupts, speaks over, or simply dismisses what the woman has to share because “she doesn’t know what she’s talking about” or because somehow the man has “inherent superior knowledge”. This attitude does not do justice to bringing about the “Equality of Women and Men” as is the teachings of the Baha’i Faith.

“Aye Jan Feshan” by Behzad Khoshmashrab

Baha’i Blog’s “Studio Sessions” is an initiative where we invite Baha’is and their friends from around the world to come into a studio and share the Baha’i Writings put to music.

In this Baha’i Blog Studio Session, Behzad Khoshmashrab chants “Aye Jan Feshan” based on a tablet by Abdu’l-Baha in Persian. In this tablet Abdu’l-Baha expands on the journey of the soul in search of the most Beloved, and among other points, He highlights how the manner in which one goes about one’s search impacts the outcome of one’s quest.

He doeth as He doeth

Prayer intoned by Vahid and me in July 2013 for one of the 114 youth conferences, performed at the conference in Frankfurt, Germany.

“O thou who art turning thy face towards God! Close thine eyes to all things else, and open them to the realm of the All-Glorious. Ask whatsoever thou wishest of Him alone; seek whatsoever thou seekest from Him alone. With a look He granteth a hundred thousand hopes, with a glance He healeth a hundred thousand incurable ills, with a nod He layeth balm on every wound, with a glimpse He freeth the hearts from the shackles of grief. He doeth as He doeth, and what recourse have we? He carrieth out His Will, He ordaineth what He pleaseth. Then better for thee to bow down thy head in submission, and put thy trust in the All-Merciful Lord.”

Maryam – Youth Prayer

A prayer for the youth by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, intoned by some youth from Sydney, interpreted by me.

The recording was made at the celebration of the birth of the Báb in the Cologne Bahá’í Centre. It was also used in a film about the Bahá’í community in Cologne.

Words: ‘Abdu’l-Bahá
Music: Sydney Youth
Guitar&Vocals: Maryam Hadji
Camera: Daria Eichhöfer

“O Lord! Make this youth radiant, and confer Thy bounty upon this poor creature. Bestow upon him knowledge, grant him added strength at the break of every morn and guard him within the shelter of Thy protection so that he may be freed from error, may devote himself to the service of Thy Cause, may guide the wayward, lead the hapless, free the captives and awaken the heedless, that all may be blessed with Thy remembrance and praise. Thou art the Mighty and the Powerful.”

‘Abdu’l-Bahá

Loving Provider (Prayer)

O Thou loving Provider! These souls have hearkened to the summons of the Kingdom, and have gazed upon the glory of the Sun of Truth. They have risen upward to the refreshing skies of love; they are enamored of Thy nature, and they worship Thy beauty. Unto Thee have they turned themselves, speaking together of Thee, seeking out Thy dwelling, and thirsting for the waterbrooks of Thy heavenly realm.

Thou art the Giver, the Bestower, the Ever-Loving.

‘Abdu’l-Bahá
