This song is about a girl named Mona Mahmudnizhad. Mona Mahmudnizhad was a 16 year old Iranian who, in 1983, together with nine other Bahá’í women, was sentenced to death and hanged in Shiraz, Iran for being a Bahá’í. She will be forever in our hearts.
