Delia Olam BLINDFOLD original song

Here’s a song I wrote about stepping perpetually into the unknown. ie. Living. I’m still really feeling it. I was inspired by the anxieties of a friend in their ‘quarter-life crisis’ and how that resonated with my own dawning realisation that I had to discard the original plan of being a ‘child prodigy’ and go for some other version of a life… my friend and i both hoping that in discarding the original plan, we didn’t accidentally fall into making no plan and end up resenting the choices we made and destinations we attained. teasing all this apart through song, I came to my own conclusion that i was ok not knowing, because i still trust in my ongoing taste for adventure and awesomeness, so there’s no reason why i wouldn’t keep seeking that out. Also, with my eyes ‘closed’ (and not so focused on what the world was giving me) i find i can hear and feel what’s going on inside (“this universe”) a bit clearer too… xx Here’s one on the good ol’ guitar. I haven’t given up on her yet. she’s good for those more ‘anthemic’ “la la la with me!” vibes (can you hear it?)
I will be uploading at least one new original song each week, on cello, guitar, dulcimer, banjo… So if you’re liking what you hear, go ahead and subscribe! Hope you enjoy.
